The Head of Production is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of Top Draw Animation’s production, from planning to execution, to ensure client satisfaction and making Top Draw as partner of choice. This position handles day-to-day management of overall production output and budget, across departments including, manpower forecasting, scheduling of projects, communicating clearly and regularly with producers and creatives on production status, and creating an atmosphere of collaboration, efficiency, and accountability. Further, this management position requires a keen eye for process improvements and to be a strong change agent to drive optimal performance and deliver business results, which includes evaluation of IT & Infrastructure capabilities as well as cost management.
This position functionally reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
• Guarantees delivery against service level agreements on quality, cost & time.
• Ensures alignment with Client through client reviews and key check-ins.
• Oversee day-to-day/week-to-week production progress and ensure metrics and standards are met.
• Reviews project budgets to determine if they are feasible based on the scope of work involved and optimize work within budget.
• Determines and organizes the best approach for each project or production, based on skills, experience and motivation.
• Establishes best practices and consistency for optimal operation for the duration of the show.
• Manages day-to-day staff planning issues, such as overtime and leaverequests.
• Mentors the production staff to increase leadership skills, production knowledge and collaboration with Creative teams.
